JANUARY JAM

2010 started off well, but a couple of events were disturbing.

The intelligent bureau warns us of a possible plane highjack.
Armed forces ‘discover ‘deadly articles in nook and corners of the nation.
The tunnel discovery across the border is something fishy.
Well, hold on; the message is loud and clear. The next attack could be right on the roadside, up in the air or probably an underground blast.
A neighbour’s leader explains how much they have been in the same attack’s mess over some years as the regretful 26/11. Very clear the message being given to us is- a blast is paving its way soon. Am not looking at the darker side, but that’s how the series gets interpreted.

“Aman ki Aasha” has definitely been a good will gesture that was taken in jolly spirits. But all that follows isn’t well. Not selecting any of Pakistan’s eleven players as a part of IPL series might have been an incidence having taken place just ‘by chance’; but it is somehow being viewed as an activity intending an intentional humiliation.

A state CM today wants a section of the workforce to have possessed for fifteen years the state domicile as a prerequisite to work there. I don’t seem to find any significance of this rule; nor do I find a greater facilitation of state governance in Maharashtra or another state in which that rule is enforced. Pray tell me what happens to the nation if a few more state leaders wish some of their heart’s desires’ fulfilment!

A party threatens to spoil the game show if the Aussies are permitted to play cricket on our land. Now this generously spoils our image in the global society; no penalty for such hateful statements or not stopping them do what they’ve declared would yield the same results, intensified.

Ruchika doesn’t get justice even nineteen years hence, the alleged culprit is out on a bail.
The mysterious circumstances under which Neha Chhikara reportedly committed suicide jumping off board from 12th floor of a cruise, on New year’s eve, is shocking; Mr. Dalal’s transfer to Punjab and no news ahead is more enigmatic.  Not intending the revealing of facts though, I am simply being lead to believe that power is mightier than the sword.

This one month show tells me the exemplary state of law and order in the nation; how the power wins over the truth. No wonder, power is mightier than the truth..
